WHO ARE WE?
We are a privately held corporation owned by a couple of families in the Lakeshore, Ontario area. We are lead by our Chief Operating Officer Gina Facca, who is supported by our loyal management team at each theatre location and an experienced support team that includes operations management, accounting, business analysis, marketing, and human resources at our head office location in Windsor, Ontario.
Our goal is to offer a VIP movie experience without the VIP price tag. Many of our have been upgraded to include luxury, electronic recliners for a price of $14 or under. We have now made these seats available at the following locations Elgin Mills (Richmond Hills), Promenade (Thornhill), Cinema 6 (Timmins), Lakeshore (Tecumseh), Market Square (Downtown Toronto), and Alliston, with plans to convert more over the coming year.
HISTORY
Imagine Cinemas is a small, but rapidly expanding, independently owned and operated movie exhibitor. We opened in Tecumseh, Ontario with the building of our flagship movie theatre “Lakeshore Cinemas” in May 2005.
Local entrepreneurs recognized the need for a local cinema in Windsor/Tecumseh as the population started to expand with many new neighbourhoods, commercial properties, restaurants, and retail developments. During the building of Lakeshore Cinemas in Tecumseh, On, a downtown theatre in Windsor known as “The Palace Cinemas” was acquired in 2004. The Palace was subsequently closed in 2012 as the landlord decided to repurpose.
Since 2004, we’ve expanded to 12 locations across Ontario and British Columbia, including the acquisition of 7 locations belonging to the former Rainbow Cinemas chain.
